This is a film based on the shockingly successful play in England. The film is about a group of boys that are believed to have the talents to get into Cambridge and Oxford; therefore, the headmaster calls in a man named Irwin to prepare them for the test.

The headmaster is a douche, I grew to like Irwin, and then the other two teachers are Hector (who is an amazing teacher who sees knowledge as a gift to be spread never held in so that you never say the words "I have a deep love of literature" saying deep like you are fucking welsh or something (one of the best lines in the film, the welsh are crazy), their general studies teacher who copes a feel when he takes one of them home (not as creepy as it sounds), and their history teacher, a woman nicknamed Tot or Totty.

The actors, who are mostly the cast from the original show, forgot that this is a film and not a play but in the end I could fucking care less. The acting is still superb, the directing is great (the film is based in 1983, and other than random music popping in the only way I could tell was by the use of cliche 80's camera movement and I loved it, the camera was unpredictable because no one wants to look stupid using 80's moves anymore and therefore made this film look amazing).

The script is one of brillance, the boys just pop in with quotes and scenes from movies that it is mindblowing how intelligent they are. There are 8 boys in the group and some (one) are (is) annoying but he gets a little better (and creepy) by the end (and I mean the end).

The best is Posner, a gay jew that is in love with the annoying one, that is not that attractive by the way, and he sings and quotes the greatest lines and is just amazing. Also, the one boy that truly talks to Posner is great.

Scripps, he is kind funny and can play the piano (which is always a plus). I loved this film, it was brillantly made and was very funny and extremely touching (no pun intended).
