Review of The History Boys (2006) by Mike H — 11 Jun 2008
A film that desperately wants to be more meaningful then it really is. It struggles to argue that knowledge is more then tests, but just ends up making it a bunch of useless quotations. The cinematography is also far to confined by the roots of the film as a play.
It ends up as a fairly standard coming of age film.
