Review of The History Boys (2006) by Phoebe U — 22 Aug 2008
From the trailers, this movie looked one of those independent piles of crap, but I was definitely surprised with it.
The acting was fantastic by all members of the cast, especially Frances De La Tour and Stephen Campbell Moore. The dialogue was witty and didn't seem out of place like most students in school related movies. I loved France De La Tour and Russell Tovey's definitions of what history was. The soundtrack to the movie was amazing with such artists as The Smiths and The Clash. I love how the future of each boy was done at the end.
Since watching this movie, I am very interested in seeing the play that this was based on.
