The Hills Run Red. Hmmmm, to start off, this movie is just sick. Not scary just sick, and a little creepy. Let's take a look at the cover: Film reel with a scared woman, you'll see the disgusting, weird way she ties into the creepster on the right.

Now the other object, creepy man with a baby doll face on, throughout the film that creepiness starts to fade, and I'd say thats about the time he picks up a gun and shoots a couple of people. You may ask why I think that fades his creepiness, well that's because in my opinion, what adds to the creepiness of a killer with some sort of sharp object is to slowly, or maybe even quickly chase you and unexpectedly pop out at areas until they eventually brutally murder you.

Slowly but creepy. Plus staring at that mask for long periods of time kind of just ruins the effect if you know what I mean. Sorry for my rambling, now heres a short summary of the film. The Hills Run Red was a film made in 1986 I believe that made it to theaters but was quickly snagged due to the immense brutality as the deaths were real(This is the film inside the film that the film is about of course).

Today, this kid is willing to trace the film back to the deceased directors home which can only be found through his only daughter who just happens to live 20 minutes out of town. After she is obtained, she helps lead the kid and his two friends to the woods in which the film was filmed, and to the house.

All this just to watch a movie. The kid is videotaping this all to, and interviewing people on the film. It's funny to because it just so happens that this whole time, the group is being filmed by the killers.

Film in Film, theres a lot of that here. The acting was meh, and I guess the dialogue was so-so, but this film just didn't satisfy my need to be scared. The closest thing to scary is when the killer Baby Face snips off some of his skin and sews on that doll face.

I guess if you're a little more easily scared than I am then you'll probably like this films horror aspect a little more. I'm gonna have to go with a Watch it Online/Rental for this one.
