Without having seen the original, THHE remake is a well made horror movie with some serious not to be ignored western film genre overtones. However at times, style trumps what could have been some genuine scare moments, but it was still enjoyable.
Some big kudos to KNB fx for creating the family with intense deformities that are so repulsive, they're hard to watch.
