Review of The Hills Have Eyes (2006) by Leyla R — 22 Jul 2011
An effective remake that revisits the familiar themes of Deliverance's hillbilly paranoia, but with a decidedly unrestrained and indulgent approach. This is basically all out rape and massacre, with an exciting revenge fueled final third, completely devoid of originality, but it leaves a nasty taste in the mouth which was presumably the filmmakers intention.
