A decent enough horror remake by Alexandre Aja (of Haute Tension and Piranha 3D fame, which are both better films). I still haven't seen the original(s), but due to my aversion to deformed redneck movies, it's hard to muster up the will to.
For now, this gore-filled adaptation is enough.
