Review of The Hills Have Eyes 2 (2007) by John K — 08 Aug 2011
Loved the Movie! Great Screening and well played do to it not following the preceded film The Hills Have Eyes I. So the movie did well by setting the Plot just right. But most reviews said it did not portray the realty or horrific idealist ways it should have according to the first one but it many ways they had a relatively good way of supporting the first one in their plot.
For example both movies portrayed great audacity in showing two groups of stranded characters in a remote "Mountain" based scene portraying the titles: The "HILLS" Have Eyes. Both movies went on to show the stranded characters fighting for their lives to survive the mutants and en-crazed families trying to kill them.
Though they had differences with the National Guard being one, as they were putting a twist in the story which showed that even highly trained military soldiers were still as hard of an enemy to the beasts as a stranded nobody family who had no clue on how to deal with the situation.
The second story showed the N.G. with advanced training and military weaponry having difficulty handling the situation given the the technology they have. The first one, a family that got lost and stranded in the dessert, in a remote area in the mountains had extreme difficulty with the Crazed People but were still able to overcome drastic situations.
So in all these movies were very much similar and were able show great plots and amazing thinking on the parts of the Director. Well Played out.
