Review of The Hills Have Eyes (1977) by Tony's F — 12 Oct 2010

Wes Cravens Hills have Eyes is pritty much Suitable for Only Hard-Core Horror Fans, and especially if You are a Fan of the SO called Horror Master Wes Craven. I thought this Film was watchable, tho it wasnt Scary at all, it is just More Stupid and Yeah Pritty Disturbing at some Points, and that seemed to be the Key to keep the viewers entertained even tho I couldnt help not Laugh at a few things in this Film.,- Maybe this Film is just to old, I dont Know??.

A Family are on a road trip to California, There is a Dad,Mom,Son,2 Dogs,Daughter and her Bf/Husband and they are all going on this trip, they are sleeping in a camper-Van attatched to the Car., But as they hit the Desert/Wastelands on the way to California, the cars axle than breaks, and with no communication to the Outside World and not a car or house in sight, they are all now stranded in the Middle of the desert that is surrounded by Hills.

From that Point on thats when the Fun Begins. One of thier dogs run off up in the Hills.,- Dog than gets Slaughterd and eatin by the Cannibals that are living in the Hills.

Alot of stuff happens like this in the Movie, even a rape scene that I thought was Pritty bad and unnecessary, Tho alot of Horror Fans will probably digg it haha!. The cannibals try to figure out a way to Kill all the Family so they can eat them for dinner, they do succeed with a few of the Family members, but they cant out-wit the whole family. The Son has some "Maguiver" tricks up his Sleeve, and he tries to kill a few of the cannibals off, But does he succeed??.. Well You will have to watch it for Youre Self to find out.!

Ill tell You the things I didnt like about this film. The Acting is pritty dreadful, Some of the Script is incredibly Corny, There is no Scary Scenes in this Film, No Gore, Plus None of the Cannibals Look Scary. This Film also remined Me of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre in alot of Ways, Plus the Story that went with this Film will be Likeable to Hard-Core Horror Fans, But I personally thought the Story was ridiculous,even tho I admit I was entertained from about One or two Scenes but that aint enough for Me to Call it a Well Done and "Entertaining" Horror Movie.

PUT IT LIKE THIS- Want to watch an Old School Film From Wes Craven?- Well Watch this than..., Also If You Like those "Rob Zombie" Horror Films, Well than watch how Much stuff and Ideas he takes for his Movies, that he has taken from Wes Craven's The Hills have Eyes.
