Review of The Hills Have Eyes (1977) by Alvin Y — 22 Oct 2011
I must admit, I actually liked this two versions of *Hills have Eyes* (part 1), but I prefer the remake much than the original. Wes Craven's version is I think outdated and probably a very successful one when it first came out, but the Aja's version is truly I think could have been the original, it exactly puts some more sense and explanation to some things that we're seeing and even added some more violence and gore for suitable viewing. Alright, so 4 stars for the Craven version because it is just a decent one and a little too much to entertain the audiences, but 4.5 for the Aja version because this one begins and ends with such meaning to have a sequel possibly? Yes, I have not seen the sequel yet, sooner I guess?
Would I dare watch these 2 film's again? Maybe not!? And lastly, do I think the sequel would be another tiresome one, definitely maybe!? So that's all folks!
