Review of The Hero (2017) by Chris N — 07 May 2018
As beautiful as Sam Elliott's voice is, just observing the sweet, sensitive respectful way Lee held Charlotte's face in his hands made this movie worthwhile. What a lovely escape from Bill Cosby, Matt Lauer and Donald Trump! THE HERO may have contained a few cliches, but it certainly was not overly sentimental.
The story was realistic because Sam Elliott made it so. He makes EVERYTHING better than it could ever be without him!
