Review of The Help (2011) by Sausages M — 20 Jan 2014
It's a good story with some good performances (Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer, primarily) but this is solid 'Mumfilm' territory since the men are largely absent, and when present, cretins.
Sometimes they're evil cretins and sometimes they're not. It relies a little too much on stereotypes and the direction is rather earnest, but it's still a solid enough film. Care for some pie?
