Oh me oh my! This film gets to my heart and funny bone whenever I watch it. The cast, is my second fave. cast of all time in a film, and they all have that true comradery going on too! Sissy Spacek, even though a supporting character, is just a hoot n' a half along with Octavia Spencer! This film gives me heart palpitations just laughing sometimes at some of the scenes.

Jessica Chastain was definitely right to have an Oscar nom. for her role as Celia Foote; she's such a versatile actress. Overall, the storyline and characters were very well established and the scenery and sets were pretty true to the era.

I should probably read the book, about time! And to have some pie...ooo yummy yummy!
