Review of The Heat (2013) by Gerardo R — 28 Nov 2014
A fun buddy cop film. The second half has more humorous sequences. Bullock plays an FBI agent who is disliked by her co-workers and needs to impress her boss to be considered for promotion by working with McCarthy's character.
McCarthy knows the neighborhood as they search through Boston neighborhoods for a big time dealer named Larkin. It has some good spoofs on the genre's scenes on police interrogation and investigation.
The film relies on the action genre for most of the playing time.
