It's no secret none of the agents like you.

An uptight FBI agent hoping for a promotion is asked to complete one more major mission before being promoted. To complete her mission, she will have to work with a local detective that is eccentric, undisciplined, and unpredictable. Can the two of them join forces to accomplish both of their goals or will they ultimately fail and derail both of their careers?

"You have to vent that furnace.".

Paul Feig, director of Bridesmaids, and episodes of Arrested Development, The Office, 30 Rock, and Nurse Jackie, delivers The Heat. The storyline for this movie is fairly straightforward and predictable, especially for this genre of film. The dialogue was also pretty good. The cast delivers fairly good performances and includes Sandra Bullock, Melissa McCarthy, Marlon Wayans, Michael Rapaport, and Michael MacDonald.

"Don't put your finger in there.".

The Heat is a movie I heard really good things about over the holiday season from friends and relatives. We grabbed this from Redbox and I can tell you that I was a little disappointed by this picture. This was not as good as Bridesmaid. Overall, this is worth watching and definitely has some funny scenes but I wouldn't add it to my DVD collection.

"You don't feed strays.".

Grade: C+.
