Review of The Heat (2006) by Jason R — 01 Sep 2014
Sharp, hysterical and a totally raucous comedy. McCarthy and Bullock play off each other very well, proving that a buddy/cop movie starring two women can work every bit as well as any Lethal Weapon-type movie ever has.
The plot itself is not difficult, and probably nothing that hasn't been done before, but it is gives itself a fair amount of heart and puts together a zany, funny supporting cast that augments the stars' performance well.
