Review of The Heat (2006) by Raji K — 18 Nov 2014
Cop comedies have been made for quite a while with Rush Hour, Beverly Hills Cop and Cop Out to name a few. The Heat might the first one to feature two female leads, and Bullock and McCarthy are a solid duo and had good chemistry.
Between Mike and Molly, Bridesmaides, and the Miss Congeniality both have been a fair of comedies as well. With that said The Heat focuses more on the comedic element rather than the action element for cop movies, but this movie was still solid.
Not my favorite, but anyone of a fan of these actresses or cop comedies should enjoy this film.
