Review of The Heat (2006) by Tara H — 12 Nov 2017
It's so refreshing to see a straight-up action comedy with two great female stars. Sandra Bullock, as an uptight CIA agent, reminds me once again why she has been a bankable star for so long - despite looking Hollywood perfect, she's not afraid to play for laughs.
And rising star Melissa McCarthy is hilarious as the loud-mouthed cop. Great popcorn movie, and IMO a much better prospect than most of the summer blockbusters.
