Review of The Heartbreak Kid (2007) by Cancelled U — 13 May 2009

What we have here? Oh yeah, The Farrelly Brother's film which is intensely stupid and ridiculous!

After hearing the movie flopped, I swore never would lay my hand on it, but well when your friend borrows you the DVD and hottie Malin Akerman is there, you said to your self 'Why Not?!'.

Heartbreak Kid starts out good, it has some funny moments and hilarious dialogue from Jerry Stiller (I always finds him way funnier then his son), then comes the part when it's actually meant to be funny, but I just kept getting the wrong signal.

Let me get this clear;.

- You get a hot wife, who wants to marry you (Lets be honest, Stiller isn't the most attractive person in Hollywood! and I used that phrase 'loosely), once you set on your honeymoon to beautiful island Cabo, your wife sings all the way through, then at night she wants kinky sex (Tedious) and she lied to you and all her other bad criteria shows up one after another.

Now, am I the only genius here that knows that, NO women in this green planet is like that! I know it's comedy, but C'MON!

Second, the length of the movie, two-hour for comedies? I was fast-forwarding many scenes.

Stiller is not my favorite comedian, nor actor so I skip the bad comment. And for our Hottie, Malin this 2 star is for her.. her character was annoying yet truly funny.

Comedies now days has been good, and few of 'em are great (Forgetting Sarah Marshall), but Heartbreak kid is just plain awful.

PS: This is not Rom-Com nor 'guys' film. I can't decide where to nail this.
