The Heartbreak Kid isn?t your typical romantic comedy this time around. We watch Ben Stiller, playing Eddie, as he goes face-to-face with the most awkward, bizarre events on his path to true love. So guys, when your woman is scrolling through titles and mentions this flick, don?t be wary about this one. There are too many scenes where you two will be laughing the entire way through. But ladies, this is no dumb humor; you will witness first-hand what love can do to the heart and the bad timing it often has in our lives. Trust me, you will be entertained all the way from a huge mistake in marriage to the amazing passion of love.

The story centers on a 40 year old bachelor named Eddie who just can?t seem to find love. When he finds the woman who he thinks could be ?the one? he foolishly proposes to her on impulse. Eddie experiences our worst nightmare as he rushes into this marriage with Lila (Malin Akerman), on behalf of the criticism for his extended period of bachelorhood, from his father (Jerry Stiller) and best friend (Rob Corddry). Eddie doesn?t realize the blunder he has made until the two newlyweds take off to Mexico for their honeymoon. It?s there when he finds out about Lila?s previous cocaine problem and need for overly aggressive sex, two of her many appalling qualities. Eddie doesn?t seem to even relate to his new wife, Lila, in any way, which keeps us rolling in a ?I am glad I am not that guy!? feeling. Eddie then discovers his true love, Miranda (Michelle Monaghan), at the absolute worst time we could possibly think of, on his very own honeymoon. Eddie makes every attempt possible to spend time with Miranda, and prevent his wife, Lila, from destroying his chances at true love.

Nevertheless, we have made mistakes like these too! We have all had a ?Lila? in our lives at one point in time. You think they are amazing and good looking on the outside, but find out they are an ugly monster on the inside! We are all also in search of that perfect ?Miranda,? if you haven?t found her already! Either way, we can kick back, and enjoy watching the perfect moments, and also the screw-ups that happen right before our eyes. We learn from Eddie that sometimes it does take a grand mistake before you find what you?re really looking for.

This comical journey to love is nothing new to actor, Ben Stiller. If he had you laughing in any of his previous films, There is Something About Mary (1998) or Meet the Fockers (2004), he will surely have you falling out of your chair in this one! Eddie, the newlywed who suffers the consequences of what we fear most, realizes that he married the wrong woman. In the worst timing, Eddie finds the real love of his dreams, Miranda, while on his honeymoon! He endures impossible moments that you just have to see for yourself! Throughout this hilarious showing, Eddie leads us through a disastrous pursuit of love while trying to keep his lunatic wife at bay.

In this series of crazy events, Ben Stiller doesn?t cease to create another amazing performance in the romantic comedy, The Heartbreak Kid. He takes us on a journey this time that differs from all others of its kind. Stiller exceeds our expectations of this genre with an ultimately twisting story of comedy and romance that you won?t forget. He will have you clinging to your seat throughout the entire showing, but leaves us with an ending that will make you want to stand up and shout about it!
