Review of The Heartbreak Kid (2007) by Mako S — 30 Mar 2011
Creepy comedy that is largely unfunny and features a completely forgettable Ben Stiller. All too often it feels like the Farrelly Brothers are trying to capture the good stuff from There's Something About Mary (the two are very similar in terms of repeating motifs, characters etc) but it rarely gets close.
Malin Akerman and Michelle Monaghan are both decent but overall there's nothing here to recommend and if anything there's a nasty streak of misogyny running through. Miss.
