Review of The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things (2004) by Carla T — 08 Sep 2007
Dark, disturbing realism tinged with a demonic imagination and an acute sense of the modern american gothic. being the daughter of suspiria's director certainly has rubbed its influence on argento.
a connoiseur of americana like r.linklater, argento knows her material but is more aggressive and moralist when judging her characters. one of the greatest works that throws the deep south's hideous hypocrisies right into your faces.
.. recommended for those who don't like wearing pink shades outside...
