Review of The Hawk Is Dying (2007) by Alexander D — 08 Mar 2008
Giamatti gives a serious, down-to-earth-depressing performance as George who goes through a harsh time in his monotone life. His frustration with the lack of empathie anyone shows towards his work truely maddens him.
It isn't as well paced as it could have been, but George's transformation is spot on, his development couldn't be any more precise. It's a heavy film, it's a dark film, and it's quite emotional.
