Though another 'off the rack' haunted house story, The Haunting in Connecticut delivers pretty much exactly what it says on the tin. Without the scenes with Masden and Gallner's performances being this film shining saviours the film would be skirting on mundane and mediocrity. They both deliver some of the best acting seen in such films in quite some time. Particularly Masden.
It does however, offer a few cheap jumps but is not a scary film to say the least. By no stretch of the imagination is the film unwatchable, or rubbish, but it is certainly nothing spectacular!
