It's mainly filled with jump scares and the parts that are supposed to genuinely creep you out end up being a showcase for special effects. I didn't hate the movie, it just lacked originality. When I watched this film, I couldn't help but be reminded of The Amityville Horror.
I liked the optimistic ending, but if you want to watch a haunted house movie, I recommend The Amityville Horror(original or remake) and The Others.
