Review of The Haunting in Connecticut (2009) by Crystal H — 19 Sep 2010
This particular horror film is very tastefully done. There is a strong collection of emotional storyline and random horrific stings on creepy images to get your heart pumping. What the story lacks is a stable balance between the two.
There was barely any breathing room, which resulted in less tension, which ultimately resulted in a weaker scare factor. Also, the overall backstory of the haunting itself can be easily summarized as an unexciting cliche.
Nevertheless, "The Haunting in Connecticut" is undoubtedly one of the better horror movies out there and is worth watching if you're looking a quick scare.
