Review of The Haunting in Connecticut (2009) by Cecily B — 01 Jan 2011
Decent ghost story about a sick teen who moved into a haunted with his family and keeps seeing strange things. For a PG-13 ghost story it has a couple good jumps, but it could have been so much more. I enjoyed the backstory with the seances, I wish there was more of that in the film.
I could have done without the dull bookends with Virginia Madsen talking to the camera. Elias Koteas was too dull of a character and too cliche. Kyle Gallner gave a nice performance though as the main character.
It's not awful, but it could have been much better.
