Review of The Haunting in Connecticut (2009) by Dead A — 30 Aug 2011
As horror movies go, "The Haunting in Connecticut" is very solid. There's a roughly equal balance of genuinely creepy moments and well-handled family drama. The filmmakers have taken the time to make us feel these character's stresses and difficulties beyond their haunted house, and their hard work goes a long way.
A number of moments in this movie are nerve-wracking and skin-crawling, but it's not the most terrifying movie I've ever seen - just scarier than most. Overall a really rewarding movie and one that I was glad I paid $9 to see in theaters.
