Review of The Haunting in Connecticut (2009) by Dr. N — 15 Oct 2011
Difficult to chastise a film when it is supposedly based on a true story, but you always expect some additional flavour to be added into the recipe to excite or fright the audience. There are some moments when you may jump a little but you can normally foresee the build-up and expect the sudden "ghost enters here".
Gallner was surprisingly emotional through out and carried some of the poorer performances of the more weathered cast, though Koteas not included (great as ever). Worth a watch but with stronger films out there, no real rush.
