Review of The Haunting (1999) by Jeff B — 28 Sep 2011

For some crazy reason, I've seen this film a few times, even though it's not very good. It's certainly great to look at as far as the art direction and location goes, the house is just amazing, but man, the storyline sucks.

While Lili Taylor can be pretty good in some things, she just sucks here because of her constant whining about the stupid kids. If only they could have stopped trying to make a storyline (and a dull one at that) and instead have more jumps and scares and actual haunting then this could have been a good movie.

But alas, it's just not good. Too bad.
