Review of The Haunting (1963) by Matt D — 09 Sep 2018
Where modern horror movies are all special effects and scenes designed to make you jump, this gives you no effects, apart from creepy camera angles and lighting. Not many moments to make you jump. But boy does it creep you out and shows that leaving most things to the audiences imagination makes a scarier movie.
Brilliant performances from all the cast, but most especially Julie Harris. Highly recommended. Watch with the light off!
