El Superbeasto is a professional wrestler turned porno star. He lives in a science fiction reality and has a sister who is a secret agent. One night, while at the strip club, El Superbeasto meets his dream girl, Velvet Von Black. As Black?s performance concludes, she is kidnapped by a gigantic gorilla. El Superbeasto calls his sister and they begin a mission to rescue her.

Rob Zombie, director of House of a 1000 Corpses, Devil?s Rejects, Halloween 1 & 2, and the upcoming Tyrannosaurus Rex (Sheri Moon Zombie), delivers The Haunted World of El Superbeasto. The storyline for this picture is interesting and extremely original. This movie has a strong comic book feel to it (this is based on a comic book, but not all comic book movies feel the part). The voiceovers are brilliantly selected and include Rosario Dawson, Sheri Moon Zombie, Danny Trejo, Paul Giamatti, Clint Howard, Sid Haig, and Tom Papa.

The Haunted World of El Superbeasto grabbed my attention while walking through FYE a couple weeks ago. I have always been a fan of Rob Zombie and try to watch or listen to as much of his work as possible. This film was very fun and entertaining and the script was well delivered. While this film was interesting, I think it focused on tits and ass too much and not enough on Zombie?s brilliant characters and storyline. I strongly recommend seeing this film and it probably belongs n your DVD collection.
