Yes, it is essentially a filmed play, but this is a funny, stylish, and engrossing "whodunit" that boasts some terrific performances, crackerjack dialogue, and stunning cinematography. Ennio Morricone's score deservingly won a Oscar.
My one complaint is that the first hour of the film could've been a little tighter.
