Review of The Hateful Eight (2015) by Slade T — 14 Feb 2018

Out of all the movies to write reviews for I am shocked I haven't written one for The Hateful Eight already. And if I have this is a sequel review. Who would think watching a movie would make me excited yet curl up in a blanket because the Dead of winter in Wyoming IS REAL.

The film came out in 2015 just when you think Tarantino has had his limits you're dead wrong. I can't promise the universe will align every time but check the stats. Even according to the Tomatometer this is a movie is Certified Frizzy Fresh(had to add the Frizzy).

Rotten and I don't agree all the time but we do on this one and right now it's all that matters. Why did this movie work so well? A good story for the backbone keeps the audience in suspense. There are many sides to characters that you don't know off hand and the unraveling makes a wonderful treat because nothing is as it seems.

I like to compare it to Clue It was Mr. Green with the Candlestick type thing or the Guess Who game. It's a period piece and everyone loves a good Historical Fiction with a solid bit f mystery. You add blood, violence, and very good dialogue and you get a masterpiece that will stand the test of time.

Let me just comment on the dialogue. I wasn't alive during that time period and neither were you so trust me when I say it sure feels like an Merica(America)that I've wanted to experience. It's raw and gritty yet it's and an unknown enemy can be inches from you and if you're not keen you won't know it till you're dead.

There may not be a favorite character right off the bat but you are kept interested throughout the entire movie. I love a surprise especially if it's done tastefully and I didn't expect what was gonna happen.

Even the closing credits you are thinking... Wow that was legit. I'd show anyone this movie. It's on Netflix and yes anyone even kids starting with the age of 9. Then make a course on Social Conditioning in relation to White Supremacy in the U.

S. I want to note that our society is based on dumbing down things for adolescents and then all of a sudden be like you gotta be an adult and know this, this and yea this. Why don't we teach kids other languages and a socio-economic backdrop to build upon.

Instead we lie to kids and treat them like kids until a clock hits 18 and then they are semi-adults until they are 21. Tarantino hits the nail hard and doesn't leave any stone uncovered. So yes this film gets 5 stars and am thinking when is the next time I have available 2 hrs and some-odd min.

Oh wait a min I can watch it tonight. If I watch it tonight I can be like ah man I wish I would have wrote this in the review. But you can't go past 5 stars and the cast was very invested in this movie because it exposes epic topics and it's not done preachy or teachy it's just like hey how you doin? So Congrats again to Quentin for providing fans with some insightful and entertaining material.

Idk if I'm really gonna watch this movie again tonight.
