Review of The Hateful Eight (2015) by Brent_Marchant — 03 Jan 2016
More conclusive proof that Quentin Tarantino is the most overrated, overhyped director in Hollywood. This latest offering is little more than an overlong, pointless, gratuitous blood bath that celebrates violence against women and hatred toward minorities without any of the macabre, campy humor that characterized previous offerings like "Django Unchained" and "Inglorious Basterds.
" I found myself frequently checking my watch while screening this, anxious for it to be over and done with. And, except for a few fine performances by the likes of Jennifer Jason Leigh and Kurt Russell, there's really nothing else worth watching here.
