Review of The Hateful Eight (2015) by Brandon M — 23 Mar 2016
A rather bizarre mashup of western, mystery, and comedy influences. The writing and music are excellent and help to maintain a tense atmosphere, while being darkly funny. Why they chose to film in 70mm is beyond me, since most of the shots are indoors and close up.
Not my favourite Tarantino film, but also not my least favourite.
