Review of The Hateful Eight (2015) by Tor M — 01 May 2016
A long, slow film, driven by dialogue. Some bounty hunters hooks up and slowly we get to know them. The character build up is magnificent and it's always interesting talking on screen. More characters gets into the story, and after one hour or so the full cast is presented. Killers, victims, sheriffs, story tellers - all of them quite mysterious.
It's divided into chapters and it works like a charm. It got other nice touches and it's lovely shot, it looks very good. Bloody fun with clever tricks and turns everywhere. The acting is very good, even if I'm tiring a bit from Samuel L. Jacksons typical characters.
Tarentino's best effort since "Kill Bill" if you ask me, even if "Inglourious Basterds" and "Deathproof" also are solid flicks.
8 out of 10 coffee pots.
