Review of The Hate U Give (2018) by Wysiwyg C — 07 Oct 2018
This film was a glimpse into life in America. All to often a black man's death by cop is seen on the news. Not to deminish people's injustices, this film repeats that story, however it shows it from the point of view from a teenage girl, which gives it a different dyanmic.
It shows a strong loving family, a father's pride in his children and a girl torn betweem worlds.
I enjoyed the film and didn't expect to, however the ending seemed a little rushed and missing something.
