Review of The Happytime Murders (2018) by Matlock Z — 25 Aug 2018
Much more palatable than Meet the Feebles. Fun, funny, at times quite serious in tone with regards to social prejudice, with nods to classic noir detective films, as well as buddy-cop action films. Melissa McCarthy rises to the challenge of standing toe-to-toe with muppets while maintaining a believable arc for her character.
A triumph in modern puppeteering, and surely something Jim Henson would praise his son for.
