Review of The Happy Sad (2013) by Greg W — 25 Aug 2014
Not seeing where the angst is coming from. The saving grace was Maria Dizzia. She was the only emotionally grounded presence in the film. The sad part is the unintended message that the white, aloof, (mostly) heteronormative couple get to fuck up other people's lives and continue on happily ever, despite the film's hard effort showing that their relationship would never work.
I was happy, happy when it was over.
