Whether or not you're used to Miike's films, this is still arguably one of his most bizarre. But if you like quirky musicals, there's no way you can miss this! The songs are so fun, catchy, and intentionally melodramatic that I couldn't stop smiling.
However, the claymation sequences, though creative, don't fit well with the rest of the movie, and it seems like Miike was trying a bit too hard to be weird.
