Review of The Happiness of the Katakuris (2002) by Rajneel S — 13 May 2008
Absolutely oddball - even for Miike and Japanese Cinema - black comedy musical about a family of innkeepers trying to survive against the most horrific (and hilarious) of adversities. Fascinating to watch, but the sum of the experience is less interesting than its individual parts.
The breakdancing corpses in the middle of the film still confuse me.
