Review of The Hangover Part III (2013) by Robert H — 30 May 2015
The Hangover III is a mish mash of old and new and while it manages to wrap up all the stories from the first 2 films it does so while managing to make it look as though nobody had fun doing so.
This film truly feels like everyone doesn't want to be there. There are a few moments when Zach seemed to have to shine his good self, but there aren't many of them. And Ken Jeong is mostly boring in this one... and he takes center stage for much of the film.
Hangover III ramps up the action and in doing so, tended to forget the comedy and zaniness that one expects from the franchise.
While I enjoyed the fact that the film brought the entire Hangover story together and managed to close it off... I really wished they could have had fun doing so and been entertaining as a result.
