Review of The Hangover Part II (2011) by Johnny L — 01 May 2013
Can you say rehash? Because that's what it looked like to me, only less funny, less interesting, less well written (the first one wasn't that good to start with). I got a feeling when watching this that Todd Philips might be ill suited to direct comedies, because he handles the drama part rather well, but then again this film can't decide what it wants to be, and that's a problem.
The duo of Cooper and Galifianakis this time make the film barely enjoyable, while everything else takes a huge nosedive. This film shouldn't have happened, and you'll do well by ignoring it. Not recommended, but watch it to see a little of Bangkok in preparation for "Only God Forgives".
