Review of The Hangover Part II (2011) by Andrew H — 23 May 2013
Knowing that this is a sequel, the audience should expect more of the same. Another Hangover? Check. Somebody missing? Check. Need to find that missing person? Check. All of this is good and fine. However, this is basically a copy and paste cash-in sequel to the critically acclaimed movie The Hangover.
Sure, there are some new gags and surprises here but the formula is almost exactly the same as before. It's just too tiresome to go through the same movie once again. Anybody who saw the first film can predict how the plot is going to unfold.
That's a big problem. Are there laughs here? Of course. But especially for the people who saw the first movie, the laughs are few...very, very few.
