A group of friends, after a night of too much partying, wake up with a missing groom to be, a tiger in their bathroom and no recollection of what happened the night before. Mysteries upon mysteries unfold in the fast paced and lively comedy by Old School's director Todd Philips, with a cast of then little known actors that turn in funny performances in what became a surprise smash cult hit of the year.
Admittedly, The Hangover is able to stand out among the many comedies released in the course of the year based around the concept of drinking, but it does have its many flaws, particularly in the screenplay that often resolves many of its questions with a tasteless sick joke.
Sometimes painfully funny, but not quite as good as it is popular.
