Review of The Hanging Garden (1997) by Maarrk H — 02 Sep 2009
Fitzgerald's play on a hallucination (which, in this case, an entire family can see) has its moments, but for the most part plays out as CBC drama of the week. While it's pleasing to see gay characters portrayed so honestly (everyone's sexuality in the film is on a spectrum, with no real set parameters), those portrayed in 'Le Confessional' are done even better â?? shame for 'The Hanging Garden' that I viewed them so closely together.
