Review of The Handmaid's Tale (1990) by Elgan D — 22 Apr 2011
Slightly disjointed movie about a dystopian future where fertility is a commodity. The relationship between Duvall and Richardson's characters is strange in tone as in many scenes there is plenty of warmth but then the actions don't seem to fit.
Richardson is neither particularly believable as a victim nor rebel fighter.
