Review of The Handmaiden (2016) by Scubasteve Walter M — 27 May 2017
I really enjoyed this film. Not because of all the nudes, LOL. It's all because of the story. in my writing experience, I always hear the best stories comes from character driven plots. Which is very much hard to do, To make a not linear plot but driven by character's decisions and attitude.
This is the perfect example of that type of story. Though taken from the book 'Fingersmith.' The japanese and korean setting is more lovable. The only hole in this film is the ending, if it was me, I'd give it a more tragic ending.
