The Korean title I think means "Mistress". The English title "The Handmaiden", however, is more appropriate.
Not a classic love triangle, but a movie of many qualities - plot, characters, scenery, period piece, social commentary, etc.
When asked if his intended audience was Korean or foreign, the director replied that he generally makes movies about future Koreans. And it so happens that foreigners like them right now. He always pushes the envelope of what is acceptable in Korea. This movie is probably no exception.
If you like movies, watch it and you will not be disappointed.
